Senior Manager, Tax Learning

As a Senior Manager, Tax Learning, you will shape the learning strategy for the Tax practice, focusing on designing and improving learning programs that enhance technical excellence and leadership capabilities for tax professionals.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups to identify learning needs and develop tailored learning plans and programs that support these needs
Plan, design, and deploy tax technical training programs that are engaging, impactful, and aligned with learning objectives
Continuously assess and analyze existing learning products to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the Tax Practice
Support local learning leaders in building local learning calendars and deploying national tax training programs, ensuring adherence to national guidelines and requirements
Optimize external learning investments by identifying opportunities to complement and enhance internal training programs
Lead learning strategy and innovation, introducing new technologies and methodologies to improve learning effectiveness
Engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure programs drive measurable impact and align with business priorities
Monitor program effectiveness using data and feedback, making recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualification

Required

A CPA, LLB (tax) and successful completion of CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Program, or MTax
8+ years working in Canadian Income Tax Client Services, ideally within a professional services firm
Comprehensive understanding and experience with Canadian income tax legislation and practice
Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Passion for leveraging technology and creative approaches to deliver impactful learning experiences
This position requires written and oral fluency in English

Preferred

Teaching and/or facilitation experience (eg. Facilitating at the In-Depth Tax Program) would be an asset
