Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of software test engineers

Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans

Coordinate and oversee the execution of test cases and test scripts

Ensure adherence to software testing best practices and standards

Identify, document, and track software defects and issues

Collaborate with software development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects

Monitor and report on test progress and results

Ensure the testing process is efficient, effective, and aligned with project goals

Mentor and provide guidance to junior test engineers

Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends

Required

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field

Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire

Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies

Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages

Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Preferred

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus

Experience in testing embedded systems or mission-critical software

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++

Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments

Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity

Commitment to ongoing professional development

Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple technical areas
