Human Resource Assistant
Paragon Honda is seeking a Human Resource Assistant to perform duties at the professional level in managing recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The role requires a perceptive individual capable of relating to various levels within the organization and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Responsible for HR policies, procedures and systems
Participates in staffing logistics and takes responsibility for recruiting staff when support is needed by managers (posts positions, reviews applications, interviews)
Maintains all applicant documentation as directed by governing agencies and Pioneer
Onboards all new employees in a professional and friendly manner. Leads with our mission
Maintains personnel files in accordance with federal and state laws assuring all information is completed and audited monthly
Implements programs to help improve employee experience
Coaches, councils and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
Responsible for employee off boarding to include preparing termination and severance letters
Administers compensation and benefit plans. Manages yearly open enrollment period for benefit plans, arranges for on-site representation by providers and designees, distribution of materials, and communicates changes to employees
Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9
Ensures compliance with state-specific human resources laws and legislation
Compiles and maintains appropriate statistical data/information and provide as required to the EEOC, OSHA, DOL, management team, etc
Demonstrates knowledge and respect for diversity in daily activities and employee engagement
Represents in a professional and positive manner when dealing with clients, the public, volunteers, interns/externs, doctors and other staff, demonstrating a commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service
Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and policy
Attend and participate in all required meetings and training sessions
Performs other duties as required or requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Three to Five years of related experience with at least 2 years in a management position, and/or combination of comparable education and experience
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and current regulations
Ability to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization
Attention to detail
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to articulate strategies and policies clearly and concisely
Demonstrates knowledge and respect for diversity in daily activities and employee engagement
Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and policy
Preferred
Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
