Responsibilities
Carry out behavioral testing in mice to understand the effects of Lyme Disease on neurological function. This requires coordination with collaborators and detail-oriented animal behavioral analysis
Analyze behavioral data, generate publication quality figures demonstrating results, and contribute to writing of reports, manuscripts, and presentations
Play a supportive role in the lab, contribute to general lab maintenance (ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, scheduling), and work with graduate students, post-docs, and research scientists to support their ongoing projects
Behavioral analysis of mice and the effects of Lyme Disease
Analyze data, generate publication quality figure, and contribute to the writing of reports
Ordering, lab maintenance, and supporting others in their research
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in science and at least three years of related laboratory experience
Extensive experience with animal behavioral testing
Strong computer and database/spreadsheet skills
Applicants need to be highly organized and need to have excellent communications skills
Preferred
Advanced knowledge and experience with laboratory techniques and procedures
Knowledge of neuroscience
Strong understanding of statistics
Highly organized with attention to details/follow up
Able to communicate with others effectively
