Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daytime operations of the derivatives exchange ensuring seamless market functioning and prompt resolution of participant issues

Manage smooth production handover to the evening shift, maintaining operational continuity

Proactively manage operational risks. Work closely with second and third line of defense to identify and mitigate potential risks

Handle contingency in a timely manner, enforce proper escalation protocols, and act in accordance with established policies and procedures

Drive operational excellence by continuous improvement of our tools, processes, rules and policies

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for the implementation of new products and strategic initiatives

Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and growth

Keep abreast of the latest international trends on trading mechanisms, trading technology and regulatory development related to derivatives market operations

Build strong relationships with relevant statutory bodies, industry associations and market participants

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Finance, Economics or related disciplines; strong IT project experience a distinct advantage

Minimum of 15 years of professional experience of which at least 8 years at the management level of well-established financial institutions

Strong knowledge of the derivatives products, market practices and regulations, and the trading platform; Exposure to a variety of derivatives products and their trade life cycle and risk management an advantage

Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills with proven ability to handle time critical situations, ability to multi task and adjust effectively to changing priorities

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in English and Chinese; Putonghua proficiency is a plus
