Responsibilities
Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems
Provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance
Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations
Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment
Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities and programming techniques, and controls
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of the configuration and operation of systems
Ability to maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links
Ability to perform system capacity analysis and planning
Ability to monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor system security
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2028
Preferred
Experience with systems administration in an academic or professional environment
