IT Asset Governance Manager

The IT Asset Governance Manager will be responsible for defining and maintaining IT asset governance policies, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and managing the entire IT asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Define and maintain IT asset governance policies, standards, and controls
Establish accountability for IT asset ownership, usage, and lifecycle decisions
Align IT asset governance with organizational IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT)
Govern the entire IT asset lifecycle: requisition, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, renewal, and decommissioning
Ensure standardized processes for onboarding and offboarding IT hardware, software, and cloud services
Monitor asset utilization to prevent waste, redundancy, and shadow IT
Maintain an accurate and authoritative IT asset inventory in the CMDB or ITAM system
Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, SaaS subscriptions, and vendor contracts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
3–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Governance, or related IT compliance role
Strong knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or ISO standards for IT governance
Hands-on experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti, Snow)
Understanding of software licensing models, cloud subscription management, and IT procurement
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
