Responsibilities
Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
Prepares items to remain free from damage in transit or storage by use of protective sleeves, wrapping, and padding
Is expected to visually inspect outgoing product as the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system
Input of data entry
May coordinate with others in preparing outgoing shipments
Access customer portals to determine shipping instructions
Move material to other areas of the factory
Clean and maintain work area as part of 5s program
Maintaining 5’s + Safety of department
Serve as a backup driver for the department when needed
Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate – overtime may be required
Qualification
Required
Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written
Requires ability to access facts and develop conclusions
Ability to work Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

High School diploma or equivalent
One year of experience working in a manufacturing company
Basic math skills to perform basic calculations such as addition and subtraction
General understanding of Manufacturing with the ability to check and compare documents, measure parts for shipping, operate heat sealing and tape dispensing machines
