The Senior Professional Services Engineer will work with clients to integrate platforms into their systems, build web applications, and maintain documentation while collaborating with the product team and enhancing team skills.

Responsibilities

Work with current and potential clients and partners to integrate the platform and other SNI tools into their enterprise systems and workflows (GIS, Asset Management, etc.)

Build and maintain web applications and custom dashboards for querying, updating, visualizing, analyzing, and mapping geographic data, to enhance both capabilities and sales

Build quotes and scopes of work for integration and customization work

Create user and developer documentation/walkthroughs/guides for new features as they are released, being sure to tailor the content to the specific needs of the audience

Product testing & documentation - beta testing, documenting software bugs and inconsistencies, API documentation, contributing to tutorials and user guides

Work with open source mapping tools, libraries, and scripting languages - including but not limited to: Python, SQL, PostGIS, GDAL, QGIS, GeoPandas, etc

Raise your own, and the team's skill level by growing & learning

Help the product team manage requirements & new product features

Communicate with the team regularly. Use Jira/GitHub to submit and work on issues. Offer help to the team; ask for help

Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback on the design and development of new product features

Proactively find and report issues/bugs/regressions before the general user population reports them

Take advantage of existing software in the code base, or gems when possible; re-use can be powerful. Know when reuse isn’t the best option. Write software that follows established conventions and best practices in the company, as well as the larger language/programming community
