5+ years expBuildLabs is a high-end custom-building company looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The role involves managing vendor invoices, maintaining relationships with subcontractors, and ensuring accurate financial records while utilizing QuickBooks and Excel.
Responsibilities
Review, code, obtain appropriate approvals and enter vendor invoices
Prepare Draw packages to owners
Maintain relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely payment on work completed
Prepare checks and process remittance information for vendors
Reconcile, research and correct discrepancies on vendor statements
Post ACH and wire payments; notify appropriate project manager of funding
Post subcontractors pay applications to and verify accuracy of sync into QuickBooks
Setup vendors and maintain remit addresses –collect W9’s & enter accurately for 1099 processing at year end
Maintain subcontractor and vendor insurance certificates
Perform general accounting duties as assigned by the Controller
Other duties as assigned
Organize Financial records
Construction Accounting experience is a bonus
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in accounting required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting experience
Knowledge of QuickBooks necessary
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to Commute: Bridgehampton, NY (Required)
Ability to Relocate: Bridgehampton, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Preferred
Bachelor's (Preferred)
QuickBooks: 5 years (Preferred)
Microsoft Excel: 5 years (Preferred)
Construction Accounting experience is a bonus
