The role involves managing a caseload of Property & Affairs matters, preparing applications to the Court of Protection, and supporting business development efforts within the Private Client team.

Responsibilities

Independently manage a caseload of Property & Affairs matters, handling day-to-day tasks and decisions

Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection, such as for a deputy appointment or a Statutory Will

Liaise with the individual, their family, deputies, and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)

Manage a client's bank accounts, investments, and benefits, which can include making regular payments, creating budgets, and liaising with banks and utility companies

Draft documents like witness statements and court applications

Represent the deputy or client at Court of Protection hearings

Supervise junior members of the team, including legal assistants and paralegals

Investigate any suspicions of financial abuse
