SECJUR is a rapidly growing legal tech company that has been changing the compliance market significantly since its founding in 2018. They are seeking a (Senior) Finance & Accounting Manager to prepare financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and coordinate with tax advisors.

Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB) for our German legal entity (GmbH) in collaboration with our tax advisor
Main point of contact for auditors and tax auditors
Accounts payable and accounts receivable management (invoice processing, dunning, open items management)
Coordination of payroll together with an external payroll provider
Support in payments and treasury (bank bookings, reconciliations, payment runs)
Regulatory reporting (e.g., Bundesbank / central bank processes)
Preparation of analyses and reports regarding balance sheet positions and tax-related topics
Coordination with Portuguese tax advisors regarding accounting topics for our Portuguese subsidiary

Required

At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in finance, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
Degree in business administration or comparable commercial education with further qualification (e.g., Certified Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter:in IHK)
Strong knowledge of HGB
Experience working with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., DATEV)
Excellent Excel skills
Strong analytical skills, high affinity for numbers, structured, diligent, and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication skills, team player, resilience, and reliability
Fluent German and English skills

Preferred

Experience in group accounting / consolidation is a plus
Hands-on experience internalizing accounting processes previously handled by external tax advisors
