TheHiveCareers is seeking a skilled Power BI developer to support the Banking Americas division of a Japanese investment bank. The role involves improving reporting capabilities, creating data sets in Power BI, and developing dashboards and ad-hoc reports in collaboration with business users.

Responsibilities

Support the reporting and analytics initiatives
Re-platform Qlickview platform into Power BI
Create a data set to Power BI and leverage the tool
Build out dashboards and automated scorecard functions as well as business reviews
Work with other teams to organize data capture for reports
Design and develop reports, dashboards and ad-hoc queries
Ensure that the right data exists in the data warehouse
Develop ad hoc reports based on business needs
Coach people to develop their own ad hoc reports

Required

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboards, paginated reports and PRBS
Minimum 3+ years of relational and multi-dimensional (OLAP) data modeling Proficiency in the use of SQL, including relational and dimensional database structures, query optimization, specifically with SQL Server
Strong ability to analyze user requirements, make recommendations and implement solutions
Minimum of 1 year working directly with business users to address their ad hoc reporting needs via Power BI
Self-driven and should be able to troubleshoot and provide quick resolutions to issues
Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressured environment
University bachelor degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering)
Strong references

Preferred

Informatica: 1 year
SQL: 1 year
Data warehouse: 1 year
