They are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to build and lead their AI-first accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while supporting international growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, instilling a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement

Build scalable processes and systems that can support rapid international growth

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under IFRS and German GAAP

Maintain a robust internal control environment and implement best practices for financial governance

Oversee preparation of consolidated group financial statements

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies

Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across our operating entities

Partner with the CFO and FP&A to provide insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities

Contribute to strategic projects such as international expansion, M&A, and system implementations

Support fundraising, due diligence, and board reporting requirements

Drive automation and continuous improvement within the accounting function

Lead on ERP and accounting system implementation to improve efficiency and data quality
