Mobile Operations Manager

The Mobile Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, cost controls, staffing, scheduling, and sales performance of the Mobile Department while ensuring high-quality surgical instrument repair techniques.

Responsibilities
Develop, communicate, and manage each technician’s repair performance, repair quality, and appropriate repair timeframes
Teach, mentor, and manage each technician’s ability to accurately repair and refurbish surgical instruments
Coordinate communications between Mobile Repair Technicians, Regional Outside Sales Representatives, customers, and the BPI Repair Facility-based team members to maximize customer satisfaction. This includes problem-solving and conflict management activities both internally and externally
Develop and maintain current working knowledge on technology, products, competitors, and equipment relevant to BPI Medical customers
Develop new customer relationships and optimize existing customer relationships in order to develop business opportunities for both repair service sales and mobile service sales
Demonstrate an ability to organize multiple regional geographic territories, large customer bases, and manage the team’s activity and appointment schedules
Review financial statements, quality data, sales and activity reports (such as the Sales Forecast Tracking Sheet, MS Outlook Appointment Calendars, PTO Calendars), and other key performance indicators and data to measure productivity and goal achievement
Direct and coordinate repair department financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. These functions must balance with cost control, cost reduction, and mobile program improvements
Actively participate in sales-related territory management activities, such as customer sales visits, conducting client training, setting up new mobile trials, customer-satisfaction surveys, and attending trade shows
Determine market strategies, forecasts, and goals for each product and service. Successfully engage in the strategies and sales activities which ensure revenue quotas are met
Identify potential customers and sales opportunities, manage customer data, develop regional and local sales strategies, and implement activity-specific and regional action plans
Review, analyze, and adjust pricing, in partnership with sales management, to ensure business success in a competitive environment
Follow up on sales leads in a timely manner that optimizes sales opportunities
Demonstrate the ability to qualify, analyze, develop, and propose pricing and service contracts to customers
Communicate and coordinate customer requests for price quotes, mobile bids, service requests, Requests-for-Proposal (RFP)
Document all repair information, sales activities, and sales opportunities by maintaining a fully functioning CRM scheduling calendar
Teach, mentor, and manage each technician’s use of business-related administrative actions; to include tech sheets, purchase orders, and other business forms
Teach, mentor, and manage each technician’s use of Inspection Sheets (to include pictures of the fleet vehicles)
Successfully teach, mentor, and manage all the customer-facing mobile programs, perform in-service diagnostic visits, inventory of facilities, and pre- and post-appointment reporting at each customer facility
Teach, mentor, and manage all required internal and external documents such as call reports, forecasts, expenses, and other sales-related and administrative reports
Proactively assist other company Members with customer service challenges
Conduct all driving activities, both federally and locally, within the laws of each state
Ensure all repair-related mobile vehicles, tools, supply-levels, and equipment are customer ready; i.e., maintained and functional
Ensure all Department of Motor Vehicles, OSHA, and Department of Transportation requirements are met. Ensure each technician conducts preventative daily maintenance tasks such as: changing ultrasonic solutions, cleaning bag house filters, changing glass bead & bead blaster filters, draining water from compressor units, changing out A/C filters, cleaning the truck inside and out, and other maintenance duties as required
Qualification
Required
Two (2) to five (5) years of precision metal fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment
Maintain all vendor-required credentialing. These requirements, defined by our customers, can be related to HIPAA, medical vaccinations / certifications / and attestations, and the constant ability to pass a criminal background check
As this position requires daily automobile travel, the team member must maintain all state-required credentials related to driving a vehicle; such as a valid driver's licenses, valid and adequate insurance, and proper up-to-date car registration
Vision correctable to 20/20 with full-color spectrum recognition is required to discern small variances in measurement, material, and quality
Must be able to determine variations visually and physically within tolerances equal to scalpel sharpness
Predominantly required to sit, stand, walk, and drive as part of the daily routine
Based upon the relationship to manufacturing and production, the ability to move or transport goods and materials, up to 40 pounds is required
Preferred
Advanced knowledge of soldering applications, metallurgy, measurement tools, mathematics, and blueprint reading is preferred
Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products is also preferred
