Adaptek Systems, LLC designs and produces custom automation solutions for a diverse group of customers. They are seeking a mechanical design engineer to assist in the design and development of custom automated systems, requiring strong mechanical design knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Designing of automated mechanisms, fixturing and machines from quoted concepts and budgets

Sourcing and integration of components such as actuators, robotics, feeders, sensors and material handling components

Utilization of ERP procurement software to purchase all needed vendor parts

Detailing & dimensioning of mechanical components to Adaptek design standards for internal machining and fabrication processes

Ability to address design or function related questions from the machining or assembly departments

Design budget management (design hours & mechanical material costs)

Execution of design within approved schedule

Work closely with other project team members (electrical & controls engineers)
