Responsibilities
System Analysis and Strategy
Assess the performance of the electrical distribution infrastructure
Design and implement a four-year maintenance and construction plan to optimize system operations
Team Collaboration for Efficiency
Partner with the engineering team to analyze load flow, short circuit scenarios, and protective relaying schemes
Oversee studies on voltage regulation, arc flash safety, and system coordination to enhance network performance
Future Planning and Growth
Anticipate system demands and design strategies for infrastructure upgrades to support business expansion and increasing energy loads
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Proven experience in the electrical utility industry
Strong expertise in advanced mathematics, including trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytic geometry
Understanding of NERC and FERC regulations, with experience in SPP
Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
A valid New Mexico driver's license and compliance with drug testing policies
Preferred
Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories equipment or similar systems
