The Inventory & Finance Intern will gain exposure to both inventory and finance, assisting in the management of procedures and protocols while acting as a liaison between departments to support various analyses and track inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing and ensuring accuracy of all raw material and finished goods inventory
Maintain weekly corrugate and packaging cycle count programs
Provide reconciliations and detailed analysis of various accounts
Support proper allocations to and analysis of the company’s product lines
Track production and sales statistics
Assist in the reconciliation of resin and regrind weekly and for month end physical inventory
Assist in the monitoring of monthly raw material and finished goods, slow moving inventory and facilitate disposition as needed
Recommend process improvements for inventory
Assist with monthly and quarterly cycle counts of all production locations
Track and analyze departmental spending; drive accuracy and consistency of departmental reporting
Assist with reporting for the Vendor Consigned Inventory Program
Product cost and margin analysis to help maintain accuracy of the standard manufacturing costs
Assist with Quarterly Mock Recalls for the site and assist with Product Crisis Management Team
Manage tracking of cost improvement projects and associated savings
Assist with the plant site Product Data Management tasks
Qualification
Required
Pursuing degree in Finance or Business Management
Computer familiarity with proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required
Preferred
Interest in working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
Interest in warehousing, inventory control, and production flow is preferred
