As the MS Assistant Volleyball Coach, you will assist in developing the volleyball program, instructing players, and serving as a role model while supervising practices and competitions.
Education
Responsibilities
Work with the Varsity coach in order to have proper preparation for competition at the middle school level as well as carrying over to the high school level of competition
Serve as a role model for students
Instruct players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport
Supervise athletes during practices and competition
Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury
Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators
Distribute and collect equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students at the beginning and end of the season
Participate in special activities to include parent’s night and awards night
Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities
Work to enhance and display the philosophy and objectives of the department
Work with the athletic trainers, MS Athletic Liaison, Director of Athletics to ensure proper medical assistance is available and plans are in order for emergency situations
Administer the District athletic codes
Perform such other duties, consistent with this position, as determined by the MS Athletic Liaison, principal/athletic director
Qualification
Required
Must have knowledge and expertise in the strategies, methods and techniques for a successful sport offering
