Responsibilities
Acting as a trusted advisor to individuals, businesses and local authorities
Handling a varied caseload that will encompass the full cycle of residential property transaction including sales, purchases and re-mortgages of freehold and leasehold property, re-mortgages and transfers of equity, transfers of part, deeds of easement, variation and/or release and small development sales
Contributing to and leading on projects which are designed to grow the success of the department and firm
Involved with the business planning process and be recognised for the contribution you make to the overall residential property department
Mentoring or supervising junior colleagues
Maintaining client relationships and developing new ones in the community and residential property sector
Qualification
Required
Qualified solicitor (or Senior Chartered Legal Executive)
At least 6 years PQE in residential property and land law
Experience in mentoring or supervising junior colleagues
Proactive approach to business development and maintaining client relationships
Proven track record in delivering high quality conveyancing and residential property work under minimal supervision
Excellent relationship building and communication skills
Excellent client care skills
Confident and competent in technical aspects of Residential Property and Land Law
Exceptional communication skills
Self-motivated and results orientated
Commercially aware and client focused
Team player
Flexible approach to client service
Preferred
Experience in purchases and sales
Experience in transfers of equity
Experience in re-mortgages
Experience in equity release
Experience in transfers of part
Experience in trust transfers and estate planning work
