Responsibilities

Lead and participate in capital projects from concept to completion
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring projects are managed for on-time, on-budget success
Coordinate project activities and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Monitor budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial accountability and transparency
Execute process and mechanical engineering tasks to support project goals
Oversee construction management, ensuring technical specifications and quality standards are consistently met
Strategically organize and allocate resources for projects and technical support
Manage external engineering partners as needed for each project
Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
Champion a culture of safety and continual improvement across all project activities
Lead by example in responsible care and compliance with safety standards
Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures
Comply with site health, safety, security, and environmental regulations
Support Site Toledo’s growth and development in alignment with the Perstorp Careway
Foster teamwork by supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative work environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or I&E Engineering required
Minimum 5 years' experience manufacturing position in a chemical plant or refinery
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects)
Champion a culture of safety and continual improvement across all project activities
Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures
Comply with site health, safety, security, and environmental regulations
Support Site Toledo's growth and development in alignment with the Perstorp Careway
Foster teamwork by supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative work environment

Preferred

Root Cause Investigation experience preferred (i.e., Cause Mapping, Taproot, 5-Why)
Demonstrated organized and structured work management and planning skills
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement process improvement from concept through project completion (project management skills)
Effectively communicate in English using multiple forms of communication including virtual
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities
