Responsibilities

Design and implement mainframe storage architecture solutions

Lead data center move projects, including role swaps and disaster recovery

Plan and execute refreshes/upgrades across storage platforms

Perform capacity management and optimize cost efficiency

Drive I/O performance tuning and troubleshooting across storage and network layers

Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure reliable, secure storage delivery

Required

10+ years in Mainframe Storage Engineering & Architecture

Expertise in Storage Architecture, Encryption, and Fiber Protocols (FICON)

Strong background with HCD/IOCP and I/O Performance (DASD, Switches, Virtual Tape)

Experience with refreshes/upgrades: Brocade directors/switches, Hitachi DASD, IBM Virtual Tape (TS7700s)

Skilled in SAN replication design & configuration

Capacity planning (network/switches, storage) and cost benefit analysis/consolidation/reduction

Proven experience in data center migrations, role swaps, and DR exercises
