Responsibilities
Leverage extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems with minimal supervision
Take initiative as a lead technician on complex projects — ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues
Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members to support skill development and project success
Ensure all work consistently meets company safety protocols and complies with applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and internal teams; document all work using digital platforms and work-order systems
Be willing to travel to various job sites and accommodate occasional overnight stays in order to meet operational demands
Qualification
Required
7-10+ years of commercial HVAC and low-temp refrigeration experience
Experience installing and repairing Variable-Refrigerant-Flow (VRF) systems
Familiarity with built-up HVAC systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systems
Skilled in refrigeration work — including walk-in boxes, ice machines, and low-temperature refrigeration systems
Comfortable using third-party work-order platforms (e.g. CBRE, ServiceChannel, Brinco)
Proven ability to lead projects, mentor technicians, and work effectively in a team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make good decisions under pressure
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Highly organized, punctual, and maintains tools and equipment in excellent condition
