Finance Business Partner - Commercial Excellence
Particle Measuring Systems is a global leader for micro-contamination monitoring equipment, focused on improving the performance of clean manufacturers in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries. They are seeking a Finance Business Partner - Commercial Excellence to support commercial and marketing teams through expert financial analysis, particularly in pricing and discounting strategies to optimize margins.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough analysis of pricing strategies and recommend data-driven adjustments
Support commercial teams in implementing effective pricing solutions
Monitor and analyze gross margin by product, customer, and channel
Identify margin improvement opportunities and support the development of actionable plans
Collaborate with sales and marketing to optimize product mix and discounting strategies
Review and approve discount requests, ensuring alignment with profitability targets
Assess the impact of discounting on both revenue and margin
Develop clear guidelines and guardrails for discounting practices
Enhance the discount approval workflow
Lead the development of a Power BI or excel deal tool to support discounting decisions
Provide actionable insights on sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion rates
Develop Power Bi dashboards and reports to track and communicate key commercial KPIs
Serve as the finance partner for go-to-market initiatives and commercial excellence projects, providing financial analysis, modeling, and decision support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate project feasibility, assess financial impact, and ensure alignment with business objectives
Support the development and implementation of new tools, processes, and reporting solutions to drive strategic improvements
Lead and support the annual budgeting process for Sales & Marketing expenses and capital expenditures, partnering closely with department leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Provide timely, accurate, and actionable forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation
Analyze budget variances and proactively identify risks and opportunities, recommending corrective actions as needed
Identify and implement process improvements in pricing, margin management, and commercial analytics
Stay up to date with best practices and tools in pricing and commercial finance to ensure ongoing excellence
Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus
Accounting experience is a plus
