South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Group Leader to coordinate programmatic functions and supervise children in the Before and After-School Programs. The role requires engagement and care for school-age children while ensuring compliance with EEC regulations.

Responsibilities

Will require more coverage during school vacation weeks, early release days, and as needed

Assist to coordinate all programmatic functions in collaboration with Site Coordinator

Ability to accurately interpret and apply EEC regulations

Responsible for engagement, supervision, and care of children in the Before And/or After-School Programs

Qualification

MA EEC certificationLTPS certificationSchool-age childrenEEC regulationsCompassion working with childrenValid MA driver’s licenseEnglish language proficiency

Required

Minimum of MA EEC teacher certification & a high school diploma with 6 months experience working with school age children or BA or AA with 3 months of work experience with school-age children ages 5 years to 12 years of age

Knowledge of the comprehensive purpose and philosophy of the EEC program regulations

Experience & Compassion Working With Children And Families

All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable; prior to beginning employment

Candidate must be at least 18 years of age upon hire

Candidate must be able to speak and understand English

Valid MA state driver's license

Preferred

MA EEC, LTPS certification license preferred
