Responsibilities

Apply advanced analytical and mathematical techniques to make difficult policy and acquisition decisions, to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency, and achieve highest quality engineering solutions
Present results in an intuitive, actionable manner that can be understood by all sponsor audiences, regardless of technical expertise
Work independently and/or collaborate with a team of technical staff
Work successfully in a hybrid environment with in-person presence

Required

Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills in a related field
Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor's degree
Be passionate about applying operations research, statistics, and data analytics to real world problems
Be willing to adapt and learn
Show evidence of knowledge of principles, concepts, methods and tools for conducting operations research, statistical analysis, and data analytic studies
Have experience in using tools and techniques to do mathematical modeling, optimization, statistics, probability modeling, and simulation
Demonstrated ability to use at least one optimization package (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, PuLP, AMPL)
Demonstrated ability to use at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, RStudio, Java)
Demonstrated ability to use at least one simulation platform (e.g., Stella, Simio, Arena, AnyLogic, SimPy, RSimmer)
Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining & maintaining U.S. security clearance
Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for a security clearance
GPA must be listed for all degrees received within past 3 years
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence

Preferred

Preference given to qualified candidates with active clearance
Masters degree is preferred
Experience working with/for agencies and/or departments of the US Government (e.g., FAA, DoD, DoE, DHS, Treasury, IRS)
