Offshore Integrated Control and Safety Systems Engineer

They are seeking an Offshore Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development and execution of control system strategies for FPSO operations, ensuring safe and continuous offshore production.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in the development and execution of control system strategies for FPSO operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align control system initiatives with project objectives and company standards
Design, implement, and maintain advanced control algorithms to optimize FPSO processes, including model predictive control (MPC) and adaptive control strategies
Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance control system performance, safety, and reliability
Oversee the integration of ICSS with electrical and mechanical subsystems, ensuring seamless communication and system integrity
Manage vendor interfaces for control system hardware and software, with a focus on Siemens PCS7
Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution of complex ICSS issues in real time
Ensure 24/7 hands-on coverage to maintain production continuity and minimize downtime
Lead and participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and system audits to identify hazards and implement preventive measures
Ensure strict compliance with Energean standards, international regulations, and industry best practices
Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including logic diagrams, configurations, and software versions
Produce reports on ICSS performance, downtime events, and improvement recommendations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (or related discipline)
Minimum 4+ years of experience in control system engineering within oil and gas or similar heavy industry
Strong knowledge of Siemens PCS7 systems (essential)
Familiarity with DCS, PLC, SIS, and automation technologies
Knowledge of relevant industry standards (IEC 61850, ISA-95, API, IEC61511)
Project management and vendor coordination experience
Strong written and verbal communication, able to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and influence key decision-makers
Self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently offshore under challenging conditions
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on mindset
Flexible, delivery-focused, with a positive “can-do” attitude
Fluent in English

Preferred

Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety)
Hebrew an advantage
