Responsibilities
Ship meaningful features quickly: Solve high-impact problems and deliver solutions using modern workflows—feature flags, CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted coding
Focus on backend excellence: Design and scale APIs, services, and data flows that power our student experience
Improve how we work: Contribute to engineering best practices, refine our developer tooling, and shape processes that help the team scale effectively
Collaborate: Partner with Product, Design, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions that align with top priorities
Solve challenging problems: From scaling backend systems to creating tools that support students and internal teams, your work will directly improve outcomes for learners
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend development skills
Experience with Python, Go, or similar
Track record of building and releasing high-quality products or features at scale
Ownership from design to deployment
Motivated to deepen craft and learn new technologies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Value working across disciplines
Low-ego, team-first attitude
Preferred
Familiarity with React/React Native
