They are seeking a Vice President for their Investments and Wealth Engineering Production Services team to design, develop, and maintain databases, as well as support application services.

Financial Services

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain databases, including stored procedures and functions, to meet business requirements and scale effectively
Experience with SQL Server is required; Oracle and Azure databases nice to have
Tune database queries and server performance using indexing and other methods to improve speed and efficiency
Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data warehousing to support business intelligence and reporting
Create and automate reports using SSRS and other reporting tools
Enforce policies and protocols to ensure data accuracy, security, and to prevent data loss or unauthorized access
Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and other teams to integrate database functionality into business solutions
Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment
Analyzes any complex issues
Recommends technical solutions on application problems
Contributes to and may lead major incident management calls for resolution of high priority incidents
Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes
May perform periodic tests of disaster recovery processes
Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments
May review and execute Change Management scripts
Maintains and supports moderately complex applications and their operating environments
Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications
Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup
Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders
Works on and/ may lead root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues
Lead production readiness reviews for new releases and validate the supportability of changes prior to introduction into production

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Typically 6-10 years of experience
Proficiency in SQL, database design principles (e.g., normalization), data modeling, stored procedures, and database performance tuning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex database issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and document processes thoroughly
Capacity to understand the overall business objectives and design database solutions that support those goals
Ability to work under tight deadlines as well as be available for on-call duties
