Responsibilities
Design and administer Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting FLETC operations
Ensure database availability, performance, and integrity across production systems
Implement backup and recovery strategies that meet federal continuity requirements
Support modernization and performance optimization initiatives
Coordinate with application and systems teams for integrated database support
Monitor and tune database performance for high-demand training periods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related field (advanced degree preferred) OR equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing databases using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or newer
Strong understanding of database architecture, security, and performance tuning
Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations
Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
Microsoft SQL Server certifications
Experience in federal or high-security database environments
Background in database migration and modernization projects
