NETA Certified Field Technician - National Travel

Responsibilities

Conduct thermal imaging
Perform electrical circuit testing
Low, Medium, voltage switch gear and circuit breaker testing
Conduct testing of switch gears, transformers, motor circuit breakers, and medium voltage cables-tan delta, VLF
Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning
Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed
Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components
Power down, LOTO, and power forward
Strong ability to analyze test results and translate findings

Required

100% travel to assigned worksites across the United States
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60
Comfortable working in high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions
Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces
Compliance with safety standards to protect well-being

Preferred

Associate's degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical school with an emphasis in electrical with NETA certification
Equivalent combination level 2,3 or 4 NETA certification with applicable experience
NFPA Certification
