US Features Writer
Dmgmedia is seeking experienced and dynamic writers to join the growing Opinion / Features desk at the US Daily Mail in New York City. The role involves writing compelling longform features and pitching exclusive ideas while engaging with a broad readership on various topics.

Responsibilities
Writing compelling longform features (generally 1,200 words+), primarily aimed at our Mail Plus subscribers, with an emphasis on human interest content across showbusiness, politics, celebrity, crime, health and other topics
Regularly pitching exclusive ideas for features, investigations and interviews
Identifying trends and subject matters of interest to our loyal readership
Working with photo editors to source images to illustrate articles
Building stories in the content management system
Qualification
Required
At least 3-5 years working as a feature writer at a newspaper, news website, magazine or television news show
A clear understanding of the DailyMail.com brand, editorial voice and audience
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for argument, structure, tone, and narrative
Strong news judgment and familiarity with a wide range of political and cultural viewpoints
An ability and willingness to create engaging content across multiple platforms, using a variety of digital media tools and techniques, including recording video and audio
Engaging with viewers, readers and listeners on our platforms and through social media
Adhering to ethical journalism standards and regulations
Ability to juggle multiple deadlines under pressure
A flair for headlines and a sharp sense of what gets people talking
Can adapt to evolving priorities with a self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to results and collaboration
Comfortable working with analytics tools and audience data to guide editorial decisions
