Responsibilities
Teach a 2/2 load, primarily at the introductory and intermediate levels for non-majors and prospective majors
Engage with students in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes active learning and close faculty-student interaction
Contribute to the intellectual life of the college
Participate in professional development and mentorship to prepare for a full-time faculty position at a teaching-intensive institution
Receive training in inclusive pedagogy and support for research and grant writing
Engage in scholarly and pedagogical development activities
Access mentorship and guidance in their field(s) and areas of pedagogy from a primary mentor and related specialists across campus
Engage in the academic, social, and cultural life of Oxford College
Qualification
Required
Applicants should hold a doctorate in Economics awarded within the last three years
Candidates who are ABD at the time of application must complete all doctoral requirements by August 1st, 2026
Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in teaching first- and second-year courses to non-majors/prospective majors within a liberal arts setting
