Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Lead and support electrical design activities across new product development, sustainment, production support, and field investigations
Develop and evaluate design concepts, select components, create circuit schematics, perform analyses, and participate in design reviews
Support printed wiring board (PWB) layout and routing efforts
Plan and execute design verification testing, including test procedures, readiness reviews, lab execution, data analysis, and reporting
Contribute to environmental qualification efforts (e.g., EMI, temperature, altitude, humidity)
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design challenges and deliver high-quality solutions
Provide input to program planning activities including schedules and budgets

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Preferred

Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Prior experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis, including complex logic devices
Experience in designing embedded electronic controls for aerospace applications
Prior experience with electronic circuit testing methodologies, and hardware / software integration
System hardware / software integration test experience using LABVIEW or Test Stand
Ability to work in a cross-discipline work environment interacting with design engineers, project leads, lab personnel, program managers and customers
