Talent Management Generalist

They are seeking a Talent Management Generalist to guide team members through medical leaves and accommodations, manage HR processes, and support training initiatives to foster a supportive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Manages employee requests for medically necessary extended time off and accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), DC FMLA, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Protecting Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act (PPWFA), and COH policy
Leads supervisor trainings on medical leave and accommodations on an ongoing basis
Leads and coordinates Lunch and Learn schedule by working with staff across the organization to develop a robust and engaging schedule of events
Oversees the scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of annual Anti-Harassment, Mandated Reporter, HIPAA and OSHA trainings for all employees
Tracks and ensures these items are completed and saved to personnel files
Works with members of the Compliance team as needed regarding mandatory training requirements
Composes staff newsletters and internal communications, including the monthly Insider, weekly transitions, and the monthly DEI newsletter
Completes all employment verifications that are received within 3 business days
Completes all wage garnishments that are received with supervisor approval within 3 business days
Regularly audits employee files to ensure compliance, as needed
Handles sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Attention to detail and strong organization skills required
1-3 years of HR or equivalent experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required
Ability to handle sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality required
Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgment under pressure required
Ability to travel to other sites as needed, required

Preferred

Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely and thorough manner
Ability to work independently
