HR Summer Intern

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is the region's longest-standing investment manager and developer of Class-A multifamily real estate. They are seeking a HR Intern to join their Human Resources Department, where the intern will shadow the Talent Acquisition team, support HR operations, and assist with training and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Shadow and assist the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to learn about the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes
Support HR operations by observing and assisting with employee relations, compliance documentation, and personnel file management
Collaborate with the Training & Development (T&D Team) to help coordinate training sessions, track participation, and contribute to learning material preparation
Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand how HR partners with other departments to support company goals
Assist with HR communications, such as drafting internal announcements, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives
Learn the fundamentals of HR systems and tools, including HRIS platforms, recruitment software, and learning management systems
Conduct basic research to support HR projects, policy updates, or process improvements
Participate in HR team meetings and contribute ideas that promote efficiency, collaboration, and employee experience
Support special HR projects as assigned, providing administrative and analytical assistance as needed

Required

Current college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Training & Development
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
