Supply Chain Quality Assurance Intern

Responsibilities

Summer program located at one of Foot Locker’s Distribution Centers working closely with team members and leaders to develop an understanding Quality Assurance and Inventory Control within the distribution centers
Assist in conducting inspections and audits of products, processes, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of quality procedures, guidelines, and documentation
Perform data collection and analysis related to product defects, trends, and improvement opportunities
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conforming products or processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues
Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders
Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes and testing methods
Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at increasing product reliability and reducing waste

Required

Undergraduate or graduate business student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3.2 GPA
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in testing and data collection
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and tasks
Effective communication skills for all levels of the organization
Ability to work cross-functionally
Willingness to learn with hands-on experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred

Basic understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards, SPC)
