Accountant
OnePay is an all-in-one financial platform focused on improving financial accessibility for consumers. The Accountant role involves supporting corporate accounting functions, maintaining financial records, and collaborating across departments to enhance operational processes.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports
Deliver clear financial insights to internal stakeholders and support leadership reporting
Lead components of the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis, ensuring precision and timely completion
Partner with Finance Systems to streamline processes and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy
Maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with SOX standards
Identify risks and enhance automated controls where appropriate
Collaborate closely with finance, operations, treasury and other business partners to ensure alignment on accounting policies and business initiatives
Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure smooth audit execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred
6+ years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting standards
Proven experience with ERP Software (ex. NetSuite) and exposure to automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, BlackLine, FloQast, or similar)
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail
Drive and proactivity - everyone here is a builder and executor
Preferred
Experience in the fintech or technology sector is highly preferred
