Student Intern - Economic Analyst
ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. The Economic Analyst internship involves analyzing complex electricity market data, creating visualizations, and uncovering trends to support fair and efficient markets.

Responsibilities
Work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor wholesale market outcomes and participant behavior
Pull and analyze complex market data to identify trends and insights
Create clear, easy-to-understand visualizations and reports for internal teams and management
Research, document, and share new methodologies or tools to enhance team knowledge and efficiency
Gain exposure to electricity market operations and ISO New England’s role in ensuring efficient, reliable, and clean energy markets
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Masters
Completed at least the first year of college
Currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program
Authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Demonstrated ability to research, document, and share new knowledge
Interest in data analysis, visualization, and energy markets
Preferred
Majors: Economics, Business, Public Policy
