Responsibilities

Managing and creating schedules while coordinating with various supports to accommodate student’s needs

Work with advisors and faculty to create and implement accommodations and modifications

Assist students in learning new skills and responsibilities (i.e. budgeting, time management, etc.) via timely prompting to foster independence

Teach students professional and personal development skills in both a classroom and internship/work setting

Facilitate an inclusive learning environment for students in the classroom and review coursework as needed

Providing support for both the students mental and physical health by accompanying them to appointments if necessary

Collaborate with the Taishoff Center staff to assess needs, problem-solve situations that may arise, and assist in building and implementing structures that promote efficient practices

Advocate for students as needed throughout the campus community

Outreach to various professors and programs to advocate for our students and their opportunities

Identify and nurture natural supports to facilitate success
