Responsibilities

Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of projects for drinking water, wastewater, and reuse treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities)
Exercise judgement on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Complete technical and report writing with guidance from more senior team members
Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring set-up and monitoring, technology evaluations, and plant operations information, process troubleshooting and optimization
Support professional engineering services during construction including construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFI's), and permit closeouts
Manage tasks as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations
Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions, as well as prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice
Liaise with project managers/team leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters
Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and providing technical guidance to other team members
Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution, and review completed engineering work to ensure it meets specified standards

EIT CertificationPE License in CaliforniaWater industry experienceBachelor’s degree in engineeringTechnical writingProject managementInterpersonal skillsProblem solvingTime managementCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
Valid driver's license with the ability to commute to project sites
Minimum 5 years' of experience in engineering AND EIT Certification

Preferred

PE License in California
Master's Degree in Engineering
8 years of water/reuse industry-related experience
