Corporate Development Associate
Thompson Safety is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to support the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer in executing the company's M&A growth strategy. The Associate will manage multiple projects, including valuation analysis, negotiating deal points, and supervising due diligence procedures, while building relationships with business owners and industry brokers.

Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of the company’s M&A activities, including valuation, due diligence, negotiation and integration prep
Assist with internal communication processes for acquisitions and prepare presentation and documentation to communicate acquisitions internally and externally, including investment memorandums and board of director presentations
Communicate and consult with other leaders within Thompson Safety to ensure preparation for acquisition closings
Work with prospects/brokers to gather information necessary to perform financial analysis/valuations
Draft proposals and present to business owners
Negotiate offer letters with acquisition prospects and brokers to the benefit of Thompson Safety
Manage the due diligence process, including working with third party service providers
Travel and organize on-site due diligence meetings
Collaborate with attorneys to negotiate purchase agreements to the benefit of Thompson Safety, mitigating risk as appropriate
Develop and foster relationships with business owners, industry brokers, and Thompson Safety colleagues
Performs other related duties as assigned
Work on sourcing new acquisitions as directed by the leader of M&A
Support the integration process of each transaction
Stay current in the M&A space and industry by obtaining CEU’s where appropriate, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in business or related field required
2-4 years related finance/transactional experience required
Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously and prioritize pipeline opportunities is a must
Strong financial analysis skills with careful attention to detail
Entrepreneurial attitude - must be resourceful and self-directed
Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of each potential transaction
Strong attitude of personal responsibility, self-motivated, able to work in high pressure situations
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Preferred
Advanced degree, such as an MBA
Experience in project management
M&A experience, including valuation analysis and due diligence, strongly preferred
Experience working with small business owners
