Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. They are seeking an Accounting Manager to manage and coach the accounting team, oversee the month-end close process, and support the preparation of accurate financial statements and disclosures.

Responsibilities

Manage and coach accounting team

Manage month-end close process, including checklists to keep the team on track for a 3-day close

Prepare and review month-end entries and account reconciliations

Assist controller with cash forecasting

Support the preparation of accurate financial statements and disclosures, including compliance with relevant standards

Partner with FP&A to analyze results and prepare related reporting

Help maintain internal controls in place and keep documentation up to date

Coordinate internal and external audits and handle requests efficiently

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting and business processes

Assist in maintaining and improving processes and related documentation

Ad hoc requests and reporting

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA certification

5-7 years of experience

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems

Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory; to work accurately with numerical detail; to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
