Entry Level Civil/Site Engineer
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Civil/Site Engineer to join their team in Lehigh Valley, PA. The role involves performing engineering calculations, developing drawings, conducting field inspections, and collaborating with senior engineers to create project designs.

Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations and create estimates
Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and/or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design
Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards
Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc
Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same
Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same
Research and apply code provisions to design
Work with senior engineers to create project designs
Utilize Autocad Civil 3D on a daily basis
Research design options and document findings for project manager
Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs
Assist Project Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of designs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
0-3 years of experience
Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations (PA)
Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designs
Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion
Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
Preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred
