Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery of bridge and structural engineering tasks for transportation projects

Prepare and review design deliverables, including studies, construction drawings, calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation

Develop and review project technical specifications

Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources, monitoring progress and implementing adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and financial targets

Serve as primary technical liaison with clients, addressing project issues, leading meetings, and maintaining strong client relationships

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff

Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical input for proposals and business development efforts

Provide quality control, quality assurance for bridge project of simple and complex nature

Occasional to moderate travel may be required

Required

Master's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Management, or similar degree

California P.E. is required

Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge and transportation engineering, with experience managing bridge-related projects or tasks

Familiarity with California DOT (Caltrans) standards and procedures

Proficiency with bridge analysis and design software programs

Experience in using MicroStation and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to lead and interact with multi-disciplined teams
