Responsibilities

You will communicate your results with the R&D team, company leadership, technical, and business development teams. Effective communication of your findings will be crucial
As an integral part of the R&D organization, you will be responsible for analyzing novel aircraft and technologies currently under development at Wisk. Your contributions will directly support the development of prototype aircraft and systems, evaluating their potential for future products
You will play a key role in the design of new systems by assessing potential vehicles and system architectures
Additionally, you will assist the test team by integrating simulations with test rigs and reviewing test results
You will also support the business development team through the estimation of performance, cost, and viability of new products
Furthermore, you will contribute to problem-solving activities by leveraging simulation to accelerate the development of physical systems

Qualification

Required

Passion for aircraft design
Familiarity with aircraft sizing, and multidisciplinary tools
Ability to tailor analysis fidelity to the specific question
B.S. in aerospace engineering with 2+ years developing simulations of complex integrated systems
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB Simulink, and development tools like Git
Comfortable with hands-on work to support test development as required

Preferred

Experience performing fault and hazard analysis
Exposure to test and simulation data analysis and visualization
Previous time spent using Google Cloud Service
Prior experience in lithium-ion battery energy modeling and thermal simulations
Understanding of flight control and/or powertrain control systems
