2+ years expC Spire is committed to improving lives through technology and is looking for a Field Splicing Technician. This role involves performing various duties related to outside plant construction, maintenance, and customer service, with opportunities for growth and training in fiber splicing.

Responsibilities
Maintain existing fiber routes and perform facility locates as directed
Maintain all OSP equipment (e.g., fusion splicer, trailers, vehicles)
Complete no fewer than two training classes per year as required
Assist in training and providing direction to newer employees
Responsible for quality control in the field
Distribute assigned tasks to other employees
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry with a focus on fiber optic splicing and testing
High School diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of all types of outside plant construction
High degree of interpersonal skills
Preferred
U.S. Dept of Labor approved technical certification in fiber optics preferred
