Waste Connections is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist based in South Yarmouth, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts, processing customer payments, and resolving billing issues while collaborating with various departments to meet collection goals.

Responsibilities

Making outbound calls and sending emails daily on delinquent accounts

Working closely with various departments to reach monthly collection goals

Apply customer payments to accounts in the system and assist with payment reconciliation

Handle difficult customers and escalated calls

Maintain accurate notes in customer accounts

Provide assistance with online payments

Provide customers recap of accounts for billing disputes

Reporting results to management and escalating problem accounts

Qualification

Required

Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Minimum of 1 year of credit and collections experience highly preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience making heavy outbound collections calls highly preferred

Ability to speak a second language is a plus!
