Product Designer Intern

Responsibilities
Collaborate with designers, researchers, engineers, and product partners to design experiences that work for a wide variety of users
Design and iterate on inclusive user flows, components, and UI patterns
Annotate accessibility specs and intent of designs in Figma
Help evolve our inclusive design practices, including contributions to accessibility reviews, usability testing, and inclusive research
Contribute to documentation and design guidance related to inclusivity and accessibility
Learn and apply WCAG accessibility standards, but go beyond compliance to advocate for human-centered design decisions
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility Studies, or a related field, with at least one term remaining post-internship
A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design work with an eye toward inclusion and accessibility
Experience with designing equitable experiences that consider diverse user needs and contexts through internships, academic projects, research, or equivalent work
Preferred
Experience using design tools such as Figma and the ability to document accessibility specifications and annotations
Curiosity about emerging technologies such as AI, and how they impact inclusive and accessible design
Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design frameworks (e.g., WCAG, POUR principles, or Microsoft Inclusive Design toolkit)
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or design systems
Strong written communication skills
