Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of network and A/V engineers, ensuring clarity, accountability, high performance, and continuous development
Own the design, implementation, support, and lifecycle management of network and communications infrastructure across all Justworks locations
Oversee and evolve all A/V technology and conference room systems (e.g., Neat, Zoom Rooms, and other modern A/V collaboration platforms), ensuring highly reliable and intuitive user experiences
Serve as a trusted resource to InfraOps teams on network-related design considerations impacting AWS and other cloud environments (without direct operational ownership)
Optimize Zero Trust–based access and security models, including identity-driven access, traffic inspection, micro-segmentation, and posture-aware connectivity
Manage and support network security platforms—including Cloudflare, Zscaler, AWS networking/security tools, firewalls, intrusion prevention technologies, proxy services, and remote access systems
Use software and hardware diagnostic tools to identify, troubleshoot, and remediate complex issues affecting network or A/V performance
Drive operational excellence through automation, change control, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies that enhance network reliability, performance, and security
Participate in vendor management, contract review, and technology selection to support long-term network and A/V strategy
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field, with experience managing or leading technical teams
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies (Meraki, Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, F5 LTM)
Experience with modern network security and access technologies such as Cloudflare, Zscaler, and AWS security/networking tools
Expertise in firewalling, intrusion prevention, proxy services, VPN, and remote access solutions
Experience managing and supporting enterprise A/V ecosystems—including Neat, Zoom Rooms, and similar conference room platforms
Strong understanding of network and telecommunications architecture, topologies, and protocols
Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models
Ability to design efficient, scalable, and secure network systems using available resources wisely
Preferred
Professional network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Cloud) are a plus
